Literature Works offers awards of between £100-£500 designed to help communities to get involved in reading and writing and to celebrate writing talent in the South West, particularly in areas where funds might be otherwise hard to find.

The Blackdown Hills AONB team would like to hear of any bids being submitted as we may able to support or potentially be a part of the project.

For example, we have been looking at the possibility of working with others to run painting workshops to mirror the locations painted by the Camden Town Artists in the early 1900’s, to celebrate a sense of place and to compare and contrast changes in the landscape.

If you have a suggestion, please email Tim Youngs, Blackdown Hills AONB Manager, in the first instance with details of what you have in mind: tim.youngs@devon.gov.uk
