Walking for health – Hemyock

Walking is great for health and happiness. This programme of volunteer-led health walks offer a chance to explore the outdoors, get to know the local area, have a chat and meet new friends. Anyone can turn up and join in - it is free, fun and friendly.
Bird ID and river walk
Take a stroll along the River Culm and learn about Blackdown Hills’ birds, with Somerset Ornithological Society and British Trust for Ornithology.
Sing and stroll at Otterhead Lakes
Learn simple songs and take a melodic meander through this enchanting nature reserve.
Dawn chorus
testGet up with the larks to enjoy the dawn chorus and learn the songs and calls of the birds as they awaken, with Somerset Ornithological Society.
