Join the Somerset Ornithological Society, the British Trust for Ornithology and the Blackdown Hills AONB for a beginners guide to identifying bird life of the Blackdown Hills AONB.

Learn how to identify a variety of common bird species by sight and sounds as well as an insight to some of the rarer species found within the AONB. There is also the opportunity to learn some survey methodology and how to submit your sightings using the Bird Track app so your data can be used towards the conservation of our birds. The day will end with a leisurely walk along the river to try spot some birds.

Bring a packed lunch, warm weatherproof clothes and sturdy walking boots. If you have binoculars bring them along too!

Booking is essential.
