Stroll around Hembury hillfort on a guided heritage walk for families and carers with young children. Babies in slings and walking toddlers welcome (the walk is not suitable for pushchairs).

On the walk, we will share the beauty of the hillfort and its varied and deep history. If the weather is good, we will stop to sit on picnic blankets and enjoy a short story about a girl who lived during the Iron Age in the Blackdown Hills.

All families will be given a FREE children’s book to take home.

We will meet at the Witness Moor car park. The car park is on the opposite side of the road to Hembury Hillfort. The nearest postcode is EX14 3LA but this does not take you directly to the car park and we recommend that you use the grid reference or what3words listed below to find its location.

The stroll will last about 1 hour.

We will be walking on rough and potentially muddy paths. It is not suitable for pushchairs. Appropriate footwear is required and long trousers are recommended.

Children will need to be closely supervised by parents as there are steep drops in some areas.
