Event Navigation
Free event with Culm Valley Himalayan Balsam Action Group.
Come along and find out about this plant and why it is a problem. Find out how to identify it and what we can do about it. Learn about other plants that are causing problems in our countryside and what we can do about them too.
This will be an informal and practical session where you can find out about work to control Himalayan Balsam and other initiatives to monitor and improve local waterways – including becoming a Citizen Scientist with the Westcountry Rivers Trust.
We will have a chance to explore the waterways around Selgars Mill – long trousers and a long-sleeved top are recommended as well as strong shoes or wellies and a pair of gardening gloves if you have them.
Come by bike – we’re on Sustrans Route 3.
Or if driving park in the signed carpark and walk onto site – turning left over the bridge. Sat nav can take you to Langlands Business Park – we are the turning before (from Willand direction) or after (from Uffculme direction).
