About this event

The next event in our series of Catchment Adaptation Workshops – this time we are building our understanding of soils. What makes a healthy soil, the range of soil types and how they behave naturally, how they behave when things go wrong – and what can we do to look after our soils? We are joined by Dr Richard Smith of the Environment Agency, to share some of his knowledge about soils, including the Culm Valley.

The event is aimed at all levels of interest, from gardeners to farmers and land managers. Richard is one of the country’s leading soils experts, with over 25 years’ experience working with soils in the South West.
