Tombs and gravestones in a church yard

Join us on Sunday 8 September at 4pm at The Blackdown Healthy Living Centre for free tea and cake and listen to a fascinating talk by archaeologist Charlotte Coles. We will be learning about the monuments we can see in our local churchyards, from the tombs and headstones to catacombs and vaults. Discover where the best places to be buried were, what headstones say about the dead, the shapes and styles of tombs, and the folklore of churchyards.

This event is part of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape – Festival of Heritage 2024.
