Event Navigation

A day of fun for all the family with live music, a barbecue and bar. Take part in children’s activities and learn about the endangered crayfish living in the River Culm.
Powered only by gravity, a selection of ingenious contraptions will be racing in the fabulous soap-box derby. Advance entry to the soap-box derby is essential.
Soap-box derby
The soap-box derby has a new format for this year, having two sections:
1pm – two fast road-runs from Woodgate down to the top of Culmstock. This is not a spectator section of the event, but one for the drivers and cart builders to challenge themselves.
2.30pm – soap-box parade event in the community garden for spectators – there will be water, balloons and ramps!
For more information about the soap-box-derby please contact Scott Vincent: scott@blackdownsystems.co.uk.
Live music
4pm – Drop in the Ocean
5pm – Blue Room Baboons
Organised by Culmstock Scouts & Culmstock Parish Council in association with the Blackdown Hills AONB.
