Throw it away? No way!

If you have items around the house in need of repair, don’t toss them away. Bring them along to Blackdown Hills Repair Café!

The repairs vary from month to month, depending on which volunteers are available.

Fixes vary depending on which volunteers are available on the day but usually include repairs to electrical items, ceramics, clothing, textiles, jewellery, computers, furniture, sewing machines, chainsaws, lawnmowers, wheelbarrows, bicycles and garden tools. There is also someone on hand to sharpen knives and tools.

If your computer is a bit sluggish and needs some fine tuning, the team of computer volunteers an take a look.

We also like upcycling and re-purposing, so please come along if this strikes a chord with you.

A selection of repair materials will be available, but feel free to bring your own if you have any.

Tea, coffee and cake will be on sale.

Admission free. This event is run solely by volunteers – donations for repairs welcome.

Hemyock is accessible by bus on a Saturday via route 20 which runs from Taunton, Wellington and Honiton.
