Drowning by numbers: the past, present and future of ancient water meadows
Thursday 6 February @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Event Navigation
With over 70 acres of ancient wildflower meadows, orchards, traditional farm buildings, informal gardens, greenhouses, a walled garden and animals to see, Goren Farm offers an experience for all the family.
There are open days on the first three weekends of June (both Saturday and Sunday) with guided walks at 10.30am and 2.30pm (1.5 – 3 hours) focusing on the history, management and species in the meadows. Information about the farm and its history can be found in Goren Farm’s visitor centre.
Try Goren Farm’s home-grown local lunches with the farm’s beef or lamb and vegetables straight from the garden. Homemade teas and cakes are available all day and farm-produce is also available for sale.
Entrance £3 per person towards National Garden Scheme charities. Children and students free. We have raised over £15,000 over the past few years.
Open Evenings 2019
Dates: 1 June – 31 July evenings: 5pm-9pm
Footpaths are mown through the meadows and picnic benches can be found scattered around the site. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. We may not always be available so donations to the National Garden Scheme can be put in the box provided and maps are available in the car park. Due to the annual Goren Festival the Farm will be closed to non-festival visitors from 27 June – 3 July 2019.
