Blackdown Support Group coordinating help for local people

In Get involved, National Landscape updates, Volunteering

The Blackdown Support Group is working closely with the Blackdown Practice, local parish councils, churches and partner voluntary organisations across the Blackdown Hills to support our communities during the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak.

Blackdown Support Group covers the whole of the Blackdown Practice catchment area which largely mirrors the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) area.

The Blackdown Support Group has contacted local, trusted voluntary networks in each area around the Blackdown Hills and will be referring anyone who contacts them, either to offer or request help, to the group co-ordinator in their local area. The local co-ordinators will then be able to match a nearby helper with a resident who needs assistance.

If someone you don’t know is offering you help, make sure they are introduced to you by your local group volunteer coordinator or by someone else you do know and trust. If you are not sure, please contact Blackdown Support Group who can advise you.
